Somewhere there’s a map with photos
of our faces
pressed against the panes of our windows
staring out at geometric patterns generated
by algorithms
Some concerned citizens filed a lawsuit,
their houses were bulldozed while they
bought groceries
If I can build a rocket, I’ll launch it into space,
I’ll sell advertising and put company logos on all
its visible parts
As a kid, I pushed a corked bottle with a note
inside into the ocean while on family vacation,
I’ve never
seen it again
