barr + barr is a fashion company based in New York with plans to move to Ireland in December of 2022. They are looking for a well established knit and tweed woollen mills to work with from sample development to production with design specifications supplied in full detail for private label outerwear apparel.
barr + barr was incorporated in 2000 with suppliers in Paris, Milan, Florence, Katmandu and Hong Kong. Their woolen outerwear apparel was first manufactured in Nepal. Irish production is their focus now with the designer/owner of the company, Helen Barr, relocating to Dublin.
Their company began by marketing a line of designer, luxury handbags which appeared in numerous fashion magazines and television shows and worn by celebrities. Sold globally the brand has expanded to outerwear with the same commitment to high quality, design excellence and enduring style. “Style meets comfort” is the focus of their design. For over two decades, top quality manufacturers have provided excellent products.
Helen Barr, whose ancestry is Irish, has decided to live and work in Ireland. She continues to work with international craftsmen to ensure that every barr+barr product meets her standards of excellence with her focus to concentrate all future product design, development and manufacturing in the Republic of Ireland.
